Namba Street Food

1 Chome Dotonbori, Chuo Ward, Osaka

From piping-hot bowls of oden (stew with fish cakes) to sizzling takoyaki (octopus balls), Namba street food is synonymous with flavor.

You can find the best food in Osaka on the main street of Dotonbori along the Dotonbori canal. Take in the smell of grilled meats and fried delicacies as you wander this lively area for bars and nightlife. Then, indulge in kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) and a bowl of udon (chewy noodles) to chase away the chill of Osaka in winter. Many street food stalls close around 9:00 PM–10:00 PM, but some stay open later.
